Many national and local holidays are celebrated during the whole year in Andalusia. At many "fiestas" you can see people in traditional costumes, horseshows and the spanish flamenco. Often the fest ends with a firework.

They celebrate in old spanish tradition with 12 grapes and sparkling wine, the party is with life music. | | 1st Jan. 2009 | New year day | Holiday | | 6th Jan. 2009 | Los Reyes Magos | At the evening of the 5th January there is a procession of the three holy kings through Salobrena (and also in other towns), with decorated wagons and rain of candies for the kids. Each wagon is carried by up to 150 persons!Also in Salobrena is a small procession. | | 1st May 2009 | Labourday | Holiday | | 23rd June 2009 | San Juan Bautista | At the beach between Torrenueva and Salobrena are many campfires, firework and life music. The only weekend when camping on the beaches is allowed. Join the local people at midnight and wash your feet in the sea; that brings luck for the rest of the year. | | 15/16 th July 2009 | Fiesta del Melosas | Torre del Mar | | 15th Aug. 2009 | Asunción de la Virgen | A real big firework accompanied by music starts at night in Almunecar at the beach. We know from experience that many thousend people will join it. It´s really worth to see !!! | | 8th Oct. 2009 | Nuestra Señora del Rosario | A whole weekend with ecclesiastical procession, procession of several wagons with singing people in Salobrena and horseshow at the beach.
